FAQs

How it all works

How does serving for InfoTrack work?

Thousands of law firms across the United States use us or our partner services to order and manage their litigation support tasks (such as court filing and service of process). When customers request a service that needs to be delivered, we offer those jobs to Trackers (what we call the independent contractors we work with), who can earn money by accepting and fulfilling those jobs.

We use the ServeManager platform to manage inventory and dispatch jobs to Trackers. To be offered jobs, you can either be an existing ServeManager user, or we can invite you to our ServeManager account as a Tracker for free. We assign jobs via ServeManager, and you’ll use the ServeManager app to update, and complete jobs once accepted.

What experience do I need?

We are flexible. We love to work with experienced process servers with years of experience. However, we also welcome those interested in learning more about this profession and are just getting started on their journey as a service of process and court services independent contractors.

Do I need to be licensed?

It depends on the parts of the country where you will complete jobs. Some states, counties, and cities require those working as process servers professionally to hold a license or take specific training. Let us know your coverage areas, and we’ll work with you to ensure that you’re appropriately licensed.

How long does it take to start serving for InfoTrack?

Step one is to express your interest in being offered work by InfoTrack by submitting the form on this webpage. We’ll review your information, and if you’re eligible, we’ll reach out to you within 72 hours to initiate the next steps. In some parts of the country, you can be up and running and working jobs in under a week. In other places, you may receive fewer jobs at first as we grow our market and integrate with more partners. Over time, we’ll grow together, and you’ll soon be offered a regular stream of job opportunities from us.

How much can I make?

How much you make depends on how often you choose to accept jobs that are offered to you and how many jobs are available in your area.

Individual jobs are paid according to our simple payment model:

Base pay

We pay a variable base rate for completing a job depending on location. We’ve divided the U.S. into zones by ZIP code. The more rural the job, the more you’ll be paid.

+

Service level

There are two service levels a customer can choose. Standard jobs are paid at the base rate. Rush jobs are paid extra.

You’re paid more when the number of pages exceeds 100.

From time to time, we may also offer promotional rates and bonuses, for example for the completion of a new service or in a new area.
